Operation PaperClip Found in Captain America’s Winter Soldier Movie

Labels: , , , , , , ,

was out of town all last week, and missed my family crazy. This weekend, the kids wanted to see the new Captain America’s Winter Soldier. Always up for a good action flick (preferably a character driven with a good storyline), I was not disappointed. While not giving the movie away, I was intrigued with the consistent theme of governmental compartmentalize, while the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. Within the movie, Project Paperclip was mentioned.

Project PaperClip in new Captain America Movie

I doubt very seriously many of the audience members caught it or even know about Project Paperclip.
What is Project PaperClip?
Project Paperclip is an actual historical occurrence during the end of World War 2. The codename Project Paperclip was originally dubbed Project Operation Overcast. German scientists were extricated, during the end and after World War 2 in order to acquire their knowledge. Most of these scientist specialized in aerodynamics and rocketry, chemical weapons, medicine, and chemical reactions (think nuclear and advanced weaponry). Interestingly, these scientist and their families were brought into United States without State Department’s approval or review. This accurate historical fact shows just how the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing.
Classified
Since most of the Operation Paperclip remains classified, this plays well in the story line of Captain America.
New information has surfaced, describing Germany scientist additional use in the effects of mind control, testing LSD on the Soviets, while working for the United States.
These nefarious interrogation programs occurred during the Cold War. These same enemy scientist, like Dr. Schreiber and Dr. Kurt Blome were Deputy Surgeon General for the Third Reich
. Now they were provided medals and buildings in their name within the United States.

Trials
Many of these were put on trial in Nuremberg 1946 and 47. However, others were saved by United States in order to continue their work on aerodynamics and mind control.
Birth of MK ULTRA
Later on, Project Paperclip became a new program called MK ULTRA, approved by the DCI (Director of Central Intelligence) in 1953. MKULTRA was CIA’s program for its own work on mind control.
More to come.
